He was in France from 25 January 1918 to 13 April 1918 and with the BEF from 14 April 1918 to 1 June 1919. He served at home from 2 June 1919 to his demob on 3 July 1919, transferring to the Class “Z” Army Reserve. During his service he contracted malaria. His discharge papers, dated 6 June 1919, showed as 310 R C (Railway Construc?on) Coy., Royal Engineers, Pioneer, Ser. No. WR/43068. |
